Thus henceforth, that is the name I'll use throughout this review when referring to natural mediums.The book the author offers us provides a clear and concise description of a Sensitive, as well as insightful words of wisdom as they develop over their lifetime. She illustrates common experiences throughout natural development as well as crucial points one need not heed, which varies drastically from what other authors and belief systems might suggest. Her work is of integral value to the knowledge base and I encourage others to read her books, "How to Know if You're a Medium" and "A Guide's Guide to Natural Mediumship and Healing", as well, for a comprehensive understanding and her most recent work, "The Spirit World Speaks" which is filled with prophetic messages provided to her by the spirit world.

This is NOT your "usual" spiritual book. Not just a book about mediums. Not just a book of paranormal happenings.
First, although Lorraine Holloway-White primarily authors it, her "friends", many of them--natural mediums themselves--share their accounts. Not only does it lend credence to the author's teachings, but shows how the different development paths, lengths of time, and variety of experiences by spirits prepare their workers for their unique God-given purposes. There is no such thing as a "normal path", as it varies with our uniqueness as human beings.
Second--and a rare quality in any book on mediumship--is the acknowledgement of the Lord as the source of a natural medium's abilities. Chapters 10 and 11 of the book especially are dedicated to showing how natural mediumship complements, rather than opposes, Biblical teachings. As one who has taught the Bible for 22 years, I find this especially a refreshing change.
Chapter 9 is what I would call the "comedy" section of the book...by this point the reader has been made acquainted with natural mediumship through the first three chapters, the differences between the natural and the man-taught ways (Chapter 4) and when these two world collide (chapters 6 and 7). And so this lighthearted chapter comes as a welcome break.
Personally, this book resonates with me as I have family members who have told me of "quick visions" that were actually short-term glimpses into the future, them feeling a presence, and hearing their name called without a physical person there. I now have the understanding of what they are going through, and that nothing is "unusual" in either the experiences or the temporary lack of experiences in their development.
This, to me, is the book to turn to when you have unexplained phenomena occurring in your life, or the lives of your loved ones, and want some understanding without being confused. And its remarkable alignment with teachings of the Bible will comfort anyone who fears "involvement with demons". There is such a warmth and wisdom in how Lorraine relates to her readers I would highly recommend this for anyone.
Although mediums have written and contributed to this book, I believe any church leader, pastor, minister or priest needs to read this book, too. Who knows what members of their churches are experiencing these phenomena and need their guidance?
This is the best I have read, in my opinion. Reading actual accounts from others was a great help and made everything much easier to understand. Thank you for putting things down in an easy to read format without all the faffing about of having to do certain rituals before going on to next chapter!
I enjoy reading all of Lorraine Holloway Whites' books. She has a style of writing that draws a person in and it feels like she is actually having a conversation with me personally. She answers all of the my questions in each chapter...I just cannot put her books down!
